HB 1538 brings together business and labor by allowing subcontractors to request to bond a portion of retainage on public works projects. This provides the ability for small business subcontractors to increase their cash flow, pay employees in a timely fashion, and stay in business.

HB 1303 is the House companion to Senate Bill 5142 which allows Educational Interpreters, educators who work with Deaf Students in our classrooms, to extend their EIPA certification. This bill ensures that Education Interpreters who are successfully working with students are not removed from the classroom as they complete their new interpreter standards.

Currently in Washington State, pharmacists are authorized to prescribe birth control. HB 2681 increases awareness for women that pharmacists can play a role in their contraceptive decisions and identifies which pharmacies prescribe birth control.
